Corporate Social Responsibility
At ASM Fabrics & Apparel, we believe responsible business is powerful business. We are committed to creating positive environmental and social impact through sustainable manufacturing, ethical practices, and meaningful community engagement. CSR is integrated into how we operate every day from the materials we choose to the energy we use and the way we treat our people and partners.
Sustainable Sourcing & Certifications
We source raw materials that promote environmental stewardship and traceability. We are proud to be BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) certified, supporting improved cotton farming practices that use water responsibly and enhance soil health. We are also GRS (Global Recycled Standard) registered, ensuring our recycled materials are responsibly sourced and meet rigorous environmental and social criteria throughout the supply chain.
These certifications reflect our commitment to transparency, sustainability, and reduced ecological impact.
Energy & Environmental Impact
Reducing our carbon footprint is central to our sustainability strategy. Our facility operates on approximately 300 kW of solar power, which supplies 70–80% of our total energy needs. By harnessing renewable energy, we significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions and decrease reliance on fossil fuels, contributing to cleaner air, reduced operational costs, and a more resilient energy footprint. We aim to become net zero in the coming future while expanding our production facilities proportionately.
In addition to solar energy, we continuously pursue improvements such as:
- Energy-efficient machinery and lighting
- Water conservation systems
- Waste reduction and recycling programs
- Eco-conscious packaging solutions
Ethical Labor & Workplace Practices
People power our business, and their wellbeing matters. We uphold fair labor practices, safe working conditions, and opportunities for skills development. Our policies ensure respect for human rights, fair wages, and equal opportunities at all levels of our workforce. Ethical employment practices enhance employee satisfaction, encourage innovation, and strengthen community trust.
Community Engagement & Social Impact
We aim to be a positive force in the communities where we operate. Beyond compliance, we support local initiatives and encourage employee-led programs that enhance health, education, and wellbeing.
Future areas we plan to expand include:
- Skill-building workshops and vocational training
- Community health and safety programs
- Educational partnerships or scholarships
- Local environmental restoration efforts
Looking Ahead: What CSR Means for Us
CSR at ASM Fabrics & Apparel is not a one-time effort, it’s a mission to continually improve and innovate in ways that benefit people and the planet.
Our focus remains on:
- Environmental responsibility: reducing emissions, enhancing resource efficiency, and promoting circularity.
- Supply chain transparency: ensuring ethical, traceable, and responsible practices throughout.
- Social wellbeing: fostering inclusive workplaces and contributing to community upliftment.
We believe that by integrating purpose with performance, we can build a sustainable future for the textile industry and create value that goes beyond profit.
